Line rider is a free online flash game, it is intended to be played solo. In this game, you have to draw lines and curves of different types so that your rider will do tricks on them. Youtube is an excellent place to watch impressive videos of this game.

Trying it is the best way to discover this game. Just to help you, the first thing you should do is to start drawing some weird shapes then press the Play button. The erase tool will be useful after, and remember to save your track by clicking the little floppy disk on the top right.

After you have done a great track, you should record it with a video recording program. Fraps is a good tool for this but it's not a freeware. I recommend CamStudio because it is free and it's Opensource ! link : CamStudio

After that, you should host your videos on YouTube or another video hosting website like Zshare.

Some people really have to much free time

Seriously, it is pretty impressive! I can't even imagine the time needed to make the second video!

The last time I tried this game, I lost a 2 minutes track...
But it's really funny

I think this flashgame need a bitmap integration, we make the map with paint for exemple, and we browse it into the game, and enjoy.

I have already succed in making a great springboard , with the technique for make a straight line. But for that, I need to save at each line that work.

The thing is flash doesn't use bitmap pictures but SVG pictures so I don't believe "bitmap integration" would actually be possible. Maybe you could work on an executable version that would do that

About linerider, I liked that game and used to play it a lot, it's a good useless game, one of the best way to have fun when you're bored online
But I think the whole "check out my new linerider video" thing is stupid, seriously, as speedking say, people really have to much time to waste.
Usually it's more about being lucky than anything else.
But hey, that game rocks anyway...

Great game , I especially like the undo edition , where you can undo lines and stuff , cuz it really sucks when you have to make your track again .
I hope the latest version will be released very soon . Great fun .

It's so addictive

this game is simply extraordinary! I used to do those awsome tracks (I don't have engouh time anymore).
But you can so easily spend hours creating and improving your track!

By the way , " Line Rider is not a game , it's a Toy" , means there's no goal , except fun , that's why it's a so addictive game.

I used to play Linerider a couple of months ago at school, but the computers are never working, so it's been a while since I last played. I don't have that much time to waste at home. I was the only one playing because the school banned the site so we couldn't access it from Internet Explorer, so I downloaded Firefox and played while the others were browsing on wikipedia. I don't know if I still have my saves, I think I uploaded the somewhere, I had some crazy tracks.

This game rules. I prefer Line, Chair & Jeep Flyer, but this one is great too. There are a lot of tracks, made by no-lives, which are amazing, like those on YouTube.

By the way, did you know that a DS and a Wii versions are coming soon ?
